#139 - boo

that was just about the funniest thing i've seen on tv in months... i nearly fell off the couch laughing when david archuleta sang "i need you BOO, i gotta see you BOO..." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! i think he could've slipped a "shorty" in there too.

but even though it was way awkward and completely dorky (complete with dancing and i don't know what to do with my hands hand motions) i think it worked perfectly as a way to appeal to all the little preteen girl voters and middle aged housewife voters. i mean, i'm sure that's probably the kind of thing he sings in the morning when he's getting ready for school, without his dad having any input haha. plus, sandwiched between those two other boring (but well-sung) ballads he needed to do something intersting... and it was interesting.... i mean c'mon, that's good tv, for any american idol haters out there, get over it, this is good stuff! nevermind that it's probably all contrived and the producers have their hands all over it twisting and contorting the contestants and results and what-not, but who cares, let yourself go with it and it's good tv. don't take it too seriously because it's main purpose is not to find a recording artist or "the best undiscovered talent in america" or even be a singing competition at all, it's to be a great tv show, and that's what they've done and that's what they'll put above all else, so don't get too worked up about it and take it for what it is and enjoy it.

anyway, i really hope it's the two davids in the final, i would be very very disappointed if syesha made it to the final. sure she has a pretty good voice (i actually liked the alisha keys song, but not the other two) in places but the whole thing is so generic, like all her choreographed moves, it's lame. so i really want the two davids in the final, then i think it would be better for david archuleta to win and for david cook to do his own thing. we'll see...
