#102 - ron paul

anyone heard about ron paul? hell i love his platform!

who the crap is this guy? i have no idea. he's a republican, and not one of the front-runners so far. i think they're down to 4 republican candidates. but his ideas about free market, foreign policy (basically, "what the crap are we doing out there when we can't take care of ourselves"), and complete turn-around types of changes for the country. restoring confidence in our constitution and in ourselves, putting the future of america in the lives of it's people, making people responsible for their own lives and not giving the government the job of taking care of EVERYONE in the country.

maybe i'm not the more up-to-date on all the issues and the practicality of the candidate's claims, but i think i like this guy. why can't we vote for either democrat or republican? i think my vote is democrat but i'd like to vote for ron paul i think. politics are retarded. but this guy interests me...

it frustrates me that only a democrat or republican will win. what about the independents, green party, constitution, other? the system of politics is so confusing and corrupt that i don't really believe in it...but i will vote anyway. even though i know my vote kind of doesn't count in the big scheme of things (the electoral voters can vote for person A even if the popular vote was for person B). i don't care who you vote for though, it's important that we get involved, even if it is only once every 4 years. the young people make up a big part of the non-voting population!! it's our right so why shouldn't we use it? i am not even gonna bother paying attention till november, too much going on! :)
