#131 - goodbye kristy

finally! well, actually, normally i would say "it's about time," but really i thought she had improved a ton since that first horrendous eye-bulging song from the top 24. she does have a nice voice, just needs to learn how to use it right. i thought that this last performance of "forever" was her best, and she had been getting better week by week. good enough for previous seasons of idol for sure, but not good enough for this one. too bad. that's what makes it kinda sad. oh well, i was afraid brooke was gonna go and i want her to stay another week so it worked out.

but... since everyone from the top 8 were all good, i guess this time i'll give the loser some youtube props:

by the way... i'm loving how on itunes you can get the whole studio version of the songs that get sung each week (instead of just the little minute and a half version from live tv). i don't buy music much so i'm telling myself that i can waste a few dollars on some of this stuff... next week though? not too excited, andrew lloyd weber? blah..
